Using the service

QRCodegener is provided free of charge and as-is. You are responsible for the content you encode and for confirming that a code works where you intend to publish it.

Acceptable use

Do not use the tools to create codes that direct people to malicious destinations, to infringe anyone’s rights, or to build content that breaks applicable law. We may block abuse that threatens the service.

No warranty

We make no guarantee of availability or fitness for a particular purpose. Test critical codes before large print runs.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for making sure the destination of a code works when people scan it, and for checking that you have the rights to the content you link to. A static code cannot be changed after printing, so verification before a print run is essential.,You may use codes generated here for commercial and non-commercial work, including client work, printed merchandise and packaging.

Limits of liability

The service is provided without warranty. We are not liable for loss arising from a code that cannot be scanned because of how it was printed, resized or placed. Keep your original design files so you can always regenerate and retest.

Frequently asked questions

Is QRCodegener free to use?

Yes. Every tool is free with no account, no watermark, no usage cap and no hidden upgrade. Unlimited generation and high-resolution downloads are included.

Do the QR codes expire?

No. The codes are static, so the destination is built into the graphic itself. They keep working indefinitely as long as the target URL or content remains valid.

What formats can I download?

SVG for unlimited scaling and print, and PNG up to 2K resolution for screens and social. Transparent backgrounds are supported.

Is my data sent to a server?

No. Encoding happens in your browser, so URLs, WiFi passwords and contact details never leave your device.

Can I put a logo inside a QR code?

Yes. Place a logo in the centre and raise the error-correction level so the code still scans if part of the centre is covered.
